Elam Baptist Church was founded in 1810, in Charles City County, Virginia. It is one of Virginia's oldest African American churches. Both slaves and free blacks worshipped in this church before the civil war. We give God praise for our founders, leaders, members, and friends who have kept us strong and moving forward for 214 years. We have opened our doors to receive all who come to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. We continue to strive to educate the next generation of believers and provide community outreach to all our brothers and sisters in the world.
